| Bit of a long time since I heard it but isn't Kid 'n' Play - (2 hype instrumental) sampled in Active 8. I'll try to dig a sample on the net to check if you don't get anything sooner.

Yeah marchwiel is right there, that's where the violin bit is from.
Every Altern8 tune ripped off a classic house or techno tune of some description, if you want to know any more I'll try and help you.

yeah, as answered above, the tune you'll be looking for is 'kid n play - 2 hype (house instrumental)'
you can get a vinyl copy on either the cooltmpo promo (coolxr175), or an album called 'the sound of cooltempo'.
i've got both, and although neither is for sale, i'd be happy to mp3 any version for you...

Never really thought about it, but I 'spose that's true. My favourite after Activ 8 is Infiltrate 202 (Watch yer bassbins - I'm tellin ya  ) which samples Bowa - Different Story.

can't resist a good trainspot.  here are a few more:
Evapor8 - Rhythim is Rhythim 'Strings of Life'
Brutal8E - Nitro Deluxe 'Let's Get Brutal' / 'This Brutal House'
Infiltrate 202 - Egyptian Lover 'Girls' (as well as the Bowa vox)
Activ8 - Imperial Brothers 'We Came To Rock'
thanks for the Kid N Play and Neil Howard spots guys. didn't know those ones.
i've actually seen Altern8 play live a coupla time in the past six months. ...live?!  second time they happened to have Man Parrish on stage and they freely admitted to ripping him off too. hehe.
