|

Before you charge in your broken netbook, here are 5 things easily overlooked but very crucial to remember when attempting netbook repair:
1. Check out your warranty status
You may be able to get the problem fixed for free or for very little money if your laptop is still under warranty. Contact the manufacturer and double check your netbook's warranty expiration date.
2. Have a suitable workspace
Don't try to fix the ASUS Eee PC 1015T 10.1" Netbook on your kitchen table.webcam netbook parts are very small and may roll, so you want to have an room where you will be able to see things that fall.
3. Look
When you look at the inner parts of a netbook, there are connectors and cables all over the place. Take careful note of what is connected to what and what's plugged in where, making notes for yourself if you have to. You want to make sure that you don't give yourself more work or create a new problem such as not being able to put all the pieces back together. You also want to take note of anything unusual in case you do have to take it to another person to fix.
4. Be patient.
Netbook repair is not something most of us do every day, so it may not work right away. If it's not going well, take a break. Find other resources. Have a soda. Just not near the open netbook, ok?
5. Find a professional.
If doing Dell Mini 1012 10.1" Netbook repair seem daunting or you run into problems when attempting to fix your own netbook, seek out a professional. It's nothing to be a ashamed of. Laptop repair can be difficult and often requires significant education and experience to complete smoothly and successfully. |
