I heard an old 60s song on the radio recnetly (Yeah yeah no jokes thanks) Perhaps one to ask your parents!

It is a uptempo rock tune with the words '.... gypsy woman' but i know its not called that!

It sounds like 1966 vintage
Any ideas you oldies?

If it's rock, it's probably Santana - Gypsy Woman

Sorry I haven't got a sample, but it's kind of latin sounding.

Nah, its not Santana he does his songs from later, this sounds like the Kinks, or Easybeats, Twilights or Cream etc

Its theme is some guy went to see the gypsy woman and he tells his story about what happened

Its prolly a rarer track by an artist we all know well, i think

could be Curtis Mayfield he done Gypsy Woman in 1961

or maybe the one by Slim Smith & The Uniques - 1968

Its not curtis mayfield thats too early.

I cant find slim smith and the uniques to have a listen to..

Now that ive been thinking maybe it is one of the many covers of the old 'gypsy woman' song.??

Hundreds of artists have covered it, im looking for a fast tempo rock version not one of the many slow ballad ones

A man escapes from prison where he has been for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed.

He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair, while tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband tells his wife:

"Listen, this guy's an escaped convict, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck." To which his wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. He wwas whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you too!!"
