Twenty year old Vonzell Solomon from Fort Myers, Florida, is the latest casualty of Fox's American Idol. The two remaining contestants will throw down in the series final next week.
Solomon had tried out in 2003 for the million dollar karaoke, erm, I mean, talent contest with no luck. The second time around saw her to the top three and will, lets face it, probably still earn her a recording contract.
Solomon described her American Idol experience as a crazy journey with a lot of emotions balled up into one. "But it's been all worth it," she said.
Before exiting the stage one final time she managed to get through a near-tearful rendition of Brotherhood of Man's "United We Stand." She then thanked the judges, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Simon Cowell, and said her goodbyes.
Next Tuesday rocker Bo Brice and country girl Carrie Underwood will perform for the title.
