One person was killed and another injured in a double shooting at a nightclub. The shootings happened at or near Turnmills in Clerkenwell, central London, at around 3am today. The club holds around 1,000 and was hosting a clubbers night called Twice
as Nice. An area around the club on Clerkenwell Road has been sealed off while officers carry out a crime scene investigation. It is not yet clear exactly where the shootings took place. The club has helped police in the past to combat drug dealers supplying Ecstasy to clubbers. The club recently launched a new night called DJ Death Match - in which well-known DJs pitch their talents against each other.
