Miss Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer. As a result she will postpone the Australian leg of her Showgirl Tour.

Frontier Touring, Minogue's tour company, released a statement on Tuesday saying, "Whilst at home in Melbourne wiht her family this week prior to her Australian Showgirl Tour, Kylie was diagnosed with early breast cancer," said the company. "She will undergo immediate treatment and consequently her Showgirl tour will not be able to proceed as planned."

The Australian tour will be postponed indefinitely.

Minogue has also been forced to cancel a performance at England's Glastonbury festival, where she was due to headline on June 26.

She just concluded a three month, mult-million dollar tour of England and was scheduled to perform in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth over the next month.

In a statement on kylie.com the 36 year old singer said, "I was so looking forward to binging the Showgril tour to Australian audiences, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans. Nevertheless, hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon."
