We couldn't resist this one. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, the golden couple who sold their lives on MTV are splitting up. And while we feel sorry for Lachey, we are hoping this breakup will make Jessica think about the most important change in her life that will benefit everyone.

Can she please stop that God-awful singing?

People can slag off American Idol, X-Factor and so on as much as they like but when you see such lack of talent from the gobs of Ashlee and Jessica polluting our airwaves you have to wonder if they would get past stage one in any of those talent shows.

The official statement:
