Jessica Simpson recently performed at the "Kennedy Center Honors" show to honor her idol Dolly Parton - unfortunately she forgot the lyrics and generally sounded like a cat being skinned alive before running off stage.

Usual stuff then.

However, she managed to screech out a second performance for the shows taping - so nobody would notice at home later...ahem.

But now she has requested THAT version be pulled from the concert too! Tsk...

"She really wasn't happy with her performance and she did want it to be perfect for Dolly, who she idolizes," said Cindi Berger, a spokeswoman for Simpson.

"We appreciate the time and energy Ms. Simpson put into this event and respect the high standards she has for herself and that of the Kennedy Center Honors," said George Stevens Jr., show producer.



Ahem. Oh well, never mind eh?
