Scotland will play host to the final Live 8 concert tonight. The Edinburgh gig begins at 7pm and will take place at Scotland's national rugby stadium, Murrayfield.
The concert was organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure as part of their Long Walk to Justice to pressure G8 leaders meeting in the capitol.
The gig, described by organizers as the final moments in the eve "of the biggest meeting ever in the fight against poverty" opened with a performance by The Proclaimers who sang the very appropriate "I'm Gonna Be" (500 Miles).
Soul legend James Brown, Annie Lenox, Travis, Snow Patrol, Natasha Bedingfield and the ubiquitous Bono will perform.
Also taking part in the final push of Geldof's Long Walk campaign are actors George Clooney, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins.
Sixty thousand people are expected to attend the event hosted by British comedians Peter Kay and Lenny Henry.
