Court Battle Begins
Rap megastar Eminem is clamping down on ringtone websites that sell his songs over the Internet without permission.
Five companies are being targeted by Eight Mile Style and Martin Affiliated who are seeking an injunction from the US District Court in Detroit against Cellus USA, FanMobile, Matrix M LLC, MyPhoneFiles and Nextones.com.
The rap master is also after those evil karaoke companies that are making a mint helping drunken people rap to his tunes.
"This is big business. We're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars a year," said Howard Hertz (sounds like the Something Awful dude), lawyer for the publishing companies.
Eminem, who often raps against the evils of the US Government, has been out of the public eye since he admitted his addition to sleeping pills
His European tour was cancelled as he sought help in rehab.
