You've got to hand it to Pete Doherty – he's an expert in getting into trouble with the police thanks to his much publicised battle with drink and drugs.

Doherty was arrested after his tour bus was stopped and searched by police for any class A drugs following a Babyshambles gig in Shrewsbury.

The boyfriend of Kate Moss, also famed drug addict, said it was a mistake and the police and let's face it – they never found anything on us...guv.

Due to the incident his next gig in Norwich was cancelled.
He said: "This implant I've got to keep me off heroin has gone septic and it's spitting pills.

"I have been clean on this tour. It's libellous to call me a smackhead - it's a good job I am too disorganised to sue."

He was given police bail to return in December.
