Dance Guru Moby Goes Punk
Posted by Anthems Staff on: Monday 31 October 2005

New Album Details

You've got to hand it to Moby, he loves to experiment. This time, instead of the usual gospel sample with nice plinky plonky backtrack, the dance music legend is entering the world of Punk.

He writes on his website:

"Over the last year I've written lots and lots of punk rock songs, and now I'm going to record them with drummer Scott Frassetto. They are definitely in the fun but very rough camp of punk rock songs."

Sounds interesting - and not one mention of George Bush! Makes a nice change, Moby.

The dance artist will be using the Voodoo Child alter ego for his new tracks.

"The Voodoo Child songs," he goes on to say, "are very melodic and electronic and experimental and not exactly club-classic floor fillers."
