World-renowned DJ Pete Tong has announced his very first concert tour of the United States. Tong hosts the wildly successful Essential Selection radio show on the BBC’s Radio One, which has been on-air for the past eight years. He also serves as the Executive Producer of the CD compilation series of the same name. Tong is also a respected music industry executive, having founded the FFRR label for London Records in the late 1980s, where he continues to serve as the label’s Managing Director. Tong is responsible for signing some of the most successful dance and electronic acts in the UK, including Orbital, Goldie and the Brand New Heavies. London-Sire launched the popular Essential Selection compilation series in the US with releases by Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim and DJ Icey.
